Troubleshooting iPad issues
- When iPad is unresponsive. Hold down home button and power button at the same time until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears, then you can let go of those buttons. This should take less than seven seconds but can take up to 15.
- When app quits working correctly. Double click on the home button and then drag the app up until it disappears.
- When network switches to the wrong Wi-Fi channel. Go into the settings app, touch the Wi-Fi channel then hit the i icon to the right of the wrong Wi-Fi channel and touch Forget This Network and then touch Forget.
- When iPad is not charging correctly. Hold down home button and power button at the same time until the screen goes black and the Apple logo appears, then you can let go of those buttons. This should take less than seven seconds but can take up to 15. When plugging the charging cable back in make sure that the iPad screen is off then plug it in and make sure the iPad screen turns back on. Check the connector for lint inside of it if screen will not turn on when plugging in.
- When app won’t start up. Hold down on app until it starts to shake then hit the small x on the top of the app icon. Reinstall the app from the self-service app.
- To install IOS update. Go into settings then touch General then touch Software Update and click on install. Do not attempt to shut off iPad while it is installing IOS update.
- When screen rotation won’t work. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen and touch the top icon on the very far right.
